Glory of God on Cape Cod
"For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea"
We believe the Lord is calling forth all His people on Cape Cod across denominational lines, ages, and theological backgrounds to corporate unity in the Body of Christ - to come together as one, to stand in the gap in prayer and intercession for Cape Cod; to cry out collectively for the glory of God in our midst and the subsequent outbreak of revival. We believe that God uses the prayers of His people to give birth to His purposes (Isaiah 62:1,2,6,7). We are calling all Cape Cod believers to be His watchmen on the Cape.
Monthly Cape-wide GOGCC Prayer Meeting will be hosted at Cape Cod IPR Church, 90 Hinckley Rd, Hyannis, MA 02601.
January 22, 2020. 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.
What distinguishes us as God's people, is not merely our beliefs, our creed, our values or our worldview, but we are distinguished by the Manifest Presence of God among us. The concept of the Manifest Presence of God is well articulated by Tozer in his book, The Pursuit of God : "If God is present at every point in space, if we cannot go where He is not, cannot even conceive of a place where He is not, why then has not that Presence become the one universally celebrated fact of the world? The patriarch Jacob, "in the waste howling wilderness," gave the answer to that question. He saw a vision of God and cried out in wonder, "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not." Jacob had never been for one small division of a moment outside the circle of that all-pervading Presence. But he knew it not. That was his trouble, and it is ours. Men do not know that God is here. What a difference it would make if they knew.
The Presence and the manifestation of the Presence are not the same. There can be the one without the other. God is here when we are wholly unaware of it. He is manifest only when and as we are aware of His Presence. On our part there must be surrender to the Spirit of God, for His work it is to show us the Father and the Son. If we co-operate with Him in loving obedience God will manifest Himself to us, and that manifestation will be the difference between a nominal Christian life and a life radiant with the light of His face."
We warmly invite you to join us in praying together for the Glory of God on Cape Cod!
