Breakthrough
What is “breakthrough”? The dictionary offers three examples: 1. A military movement or advance all the way through and beyond an enemy's front-line defense. 2. An act or instance of removing or surpassing an obstruction or restriction; the overcoming of a stalemate; 3. Any significant or sudden advance, development, achievement, or increase, as in scientific knowledge or diplomacy, that removes a barrier to progress.
I think the above three points are ours to apply during this 40 Days to Breakthrough. Firstly, we are all involved in a spiritual battle and this 40-day period is an opportunity to enforce a victory by breaking through the enemy's ‘front-line defenses' against an area of your life he has held you captive in. Secondly, any ‘stalemate’ in your life now has the potential to be absolved as obstructions to your breakthrough are removed by you under God’s authority. This may entail wise decisions you need to make in different areas of your life. Perhaps as a suggestion sit with a New Life leader or family member and chat through it. Thirdly, have an expectation for sudden progress and development in your life when the barriers are removed and being removed. That’s something we all get to cheer and celebrate with you.
