Lets pray: Holy spirit, show me the areas, habits or mindsets in my life that do not reflect and align with the character and nature of Jesus.

STEP 2

As Holy Spirit shows you the areas, habits or mindsets in your life that do not reflect or align with the character or nature of Jesus, write them down.

WEEK 2
WHO I AM
WEEK 3
THE DEFEAT OF
THE ENEMY

In week three of our journey to breakthrough we read about Satan's defeat though Jesus and what that means for us today. We get to walk in victory because Jesus took all authority back that was given to the enemy in the garden of Eden - all we have to do is walk it out.

DAY 1

Satan's defeat prophesied in Genesis

Genesis 3:15 - "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel".

DAY 4

Defeated through the Cross

Colossians 2:14,15 - "he has destroyed what was against us, a certificate of indebtedness expressed in decrees opposed to us. He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross. Disarming the rulers and authorities, he has made a public disgrace of them, triumphing over them by the cross".

DAY 5

Defeated through Christ's present position

Romans 8:31-39 - "If God is for us, who can ever be against us?...for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting int he place of honor at God's right had, pleading or us...Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? ".

DAY 6

Satan defeated though Holy Spirit in us

John 14:16,17 - "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you  and will be in you".

Prayer steps for
breakthrough

STEP 1

Let's pray: Holy spirit, show me the ways and mindsets with which I do not align myself with Christ's victory over the enemy.

STEP 2

As Holy Spirit shows you these areas or mindsets, write them down.

STEP 3

Now that you have identified the areas that are not in alignment, pray this prayer: "Jesus forgive me for giving authority to the enemy when you have stripped him of all authority. Holy Spirit show me the lie I believe about Your victory and reveal to me Your utter defeat over the enemy in my life".

Example: the lie - That the enemy is powerful and has authority in my life. The truth - he walks around AS a roaring lion, meaning he's a pretender. (1 Peter 5:8)

STEP4

Application: Over the course of the week, celebrate Christ's victory over the devil and focus on declaring and standing on this truth. Write down your victories that come through this confession and share them with someone who will celebrate with you and help you walk this journey of freedom.

WEEK 4

Prayer steps for
breakthrough

STEP 1

Let's pray: Holy spirit, show me the root cause for why I often feel powerless against the onslaught of the enemy.

STEP 3

Now that you have identified the roots or mindsets, pray this prayer: "Jesus forgive me for allowing these wrong beliefs to cancel the power of the weapons that you have entrusted to me. I ask for increase in faith, courage and boldness to use the weapons to enforce the enemy's defeat in my life".
